Free Forex Training

The reason why we offer free Forex training is simple. Knowledge is power and should be free to everyone. Secondly, we understand how important it is for our clients wanting to trade Forex, to make an informed decision on how they want to grow their wealth, whether that is through Forex trading training or through building up their own share portfolio.

Investment classes like property and shares are assets that have historically performed well in Australia. Unfortunately performance and the return on your investment (also known as yield), is not the only factor you should consider before you purchase a house, a share portfolio or start trading on the Forex market.

Property, shares and Forex (which is cash) are all forms of financial assets. The connection between the share market and the property market was highlighted in the crash of 2008-9 and every crash/bear market on record. All financial assets including Forex have different levels of the following:

*Risk versus return (yield)

*Time patterns of cash flows

Liquidity and the time pattern of cash flows (cash flows from here on in) are two of the least talked about aspects of financial assets, including Forex, and should be as important to you as the traditional risk versus reward polemic. Why? Because these two factors have an impact upon your lifestyle.

The Forex market has become the exchange of choice for those seeking to maximize their returns and keep their assets liquid.

Liquidity simply means the convertibility of an asset into cash. Different assets have different liquidity and you, as a prospective purchaser of financial products should be aware of how quickly you can dispose of your investment when the market turns against you and you need free access to your cash immediately.

For example, if you needed $10, 000 to travel interstate to see your favourite sporting team in the grand final at short notice, could you do it? Could you free up enough shares in a couple of days to make this unexpected trip happen? Probably not. You would be off to the bank to get a personal loan paying exorbitant rates to the same bank you own shares in! If you needed the same amount to visit a sick relative overseas could you sell half a bedroom in your house? Obviously not!

One of the biggest advantages of Forex trading is how fast you can move your cash from your brokerage account into your bank account. For most brokers this takes as little as one business day. So you can have access to funds fast when you need them, without having to go into debt.

Cash that flows to you as profit from property and shares are in effect baked in to the capital cost of the asset. Even if you have a positively geared property (repayments by the tenants cover outgoing costs like bank repayments, body corporate, agents fees, maintenance and the rest) it could take you 20 years (the life of the mortgage) to see one dollar that you have earned from the investment.

Shares are a little better, and can return dividends to its owners; however they are seldom more that 0.10 cents in dollar value of the share meaning you need a decade to see a single bit of profit.

The Forex market returns the cash to you instantly. As soon as your buy/sell order is transacted by your broker (called “filling”, ie. your order was “filled”) you have your profits. You can see it in the balance on the bottom right hand side of the screen. Of course if you have taken a loss you can see that too.

This is one of the beautiful things about learning how to trade, as you can assess your investment in this asset class in real time. Of course if the property market or share market crashes again you can short the dollar and order champagne and lobster in the best restaurant in town… and have the place all to yourself!

We believe that these lifestyle considerations should play a part in your decision making process before you invest in the Forex market or any other market for that matter.

This is why Learn to Trade provides free Forex training in the form of a video series and eBooks written by Greg Secker which are available on our website. This free Forex training will guide you through much of the ins and outs of this exciting and volatile market.

Forex trading does require about 3-4 hours of your time over a week and is strictly not an investment (as the time frame of the trades is too short). However once integrated into your lifestyle it’s definitely an investment as you should aim to be in this market for years. While it is a potentially very lucrative market, it is by no means a get rich quick scheme.

In order to become a successful Forex trader, you need to put in the hours and dedicate the required amount of time to first learn all there is about trading, and then start to put what you’ve learn’t into practice. While many Forex educators boast having free or low cost Forex trading software that will help you earn lots of money fast, we take a more serious approach that ensures long-term cash flow, offering Forex trading strategies from professional traders.
